Youth Fitness (TOP) Youth Fitness Center (TOP) Youth will learn how to safely and effectively utilize the equipment in the Youth Fitness Center. Our fitness center features the Hoist Circuit created and ergonomically designed specifically for youth users. Youth Program (TOP) New - Healthy Adventures For KidsTM (Ages 8-14) Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Sessions Offered: Winter, Spring l, Spring ll Come and explore the hidden treasures of good food, good fitness and good fun. This 8 week program will help to improve the overall health and wellness of children who struggle with weight issues or are under-active when it comes to exercising. Kids will take part in 30 minutes of interactive discussions on nutrition, fitness & self esteem and 30 minutes of fun filled fitness during each meeting. Preparing healthy snacks, doing sugar experiments, becoming a food label “private investigator” and playing on the Dance Pad are only part of the fun! Classes are located in the Youth Fitness Center on the second floor. Registration is required at the Member Service desk. Class is limited to10 participants.
Kids Fun Factory (Age 5-8) Thursdays 6:30p.m.-7:15p.m. - Gym Court #3 Session Offered: Winter, Spring l, Spring ll This is an exercise program designed to teach children proper ways to exercise and that exercise is fun. They will warm-up, work into a cardiovascular segment and end with flexibility exercise. Registration is required at the Member Service Desk. Class limited to 15 participants. Member Benefit The Fit Zone (Age 8-14) Thursdays 7:30-8:30p.m. – Gym Court #3 Session offered: Winter, Spring l, Spring ll This exercise program is designed specifically for both active and not-so-active youth. The first half of class focuses on fun, cardiovascular fitness exercises, while the second half emphasizes basic strength conditioning. Various pieces of exercise and sports equipment are utilized, such as free weights, body-bars, resistance tubing and exercise balls. Whether you are preparing for a sport or just want to have fun, you will make friends and will learn safe, effective ways to make fitness a fun part of your life!
