Verizon Teen Center

 Ages 12-17

The Verizon Teen Center is loaded with fun stuff to do!  Check out the action in pool, ping pong, foosball, darts, Xbox and PS2!  You can also just come to relax and hang out.  The Teen Center is often a buzz with Dance Dance Revolution and Wii!  We’re always open to suggestions for new activities and events!

 Monday – Thursday 3:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Fridays 3:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Saturdays 11:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Sundays 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Friday Film Night

Join us for a different “new release” every Friday night. See the best new movies as soon as they’re available on DVD! Popcorn is always free on film nights and drinks are

available for purchase. All movies featured are rated pg-13 or below.  Registration is not required.

 Teen Club- Ongoing Through School Year

Grades 5-7

Mondays-Fridays 

4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

The YMCA has paired up with both Wellwood and Eagle Hill to coordinate their after school enrichment program with the YMCA Teen Club.  This program will offer your pre-teen the independence they longfor and the supervision of your pre-teen that you desire.  Pre-teens who enroll in our Teen Club will stay for enrichment at Wellwood or Eagle Hill Middle School and then take the bus to the YMCA.  Once at the YMCA, pre-teens will take part in different club activities.  This program will help foster group relationships and independence.  For more information contact Kerry Coleman, Child Care Director, at 637-2025, x 215.

 

Lifeguard Certification Course

Ages 16+

Saturday Night Live

(Ages 12-17)

Saturday Night Live is open only to our teens. We shut our doors for a few hours and let our TEENS RUN THE Y!  Come and participate in organized sports, chill in the teen center, take a trip down our waterslide or check out our DJ and do some dancing!  No matter where your interests may be, there is something for you at Saturday Night Live!

$5 For Members; $8 for Non Members

 

YMCA Babysitting Course (Ages 11-15)

Saturday, April 12

Saturday, June 14

10:00a.m.-4:00p.m.

Teens who take this class will feel more comfortable when taking the next step to begin babysitting. Topics covered include emergencies, strangers, how to get a job, babysitter’s responsibilities, diapering, feeding, basic first aid, ideas for entertaining children, and much more. Each participant will receive a certificate for his/her completion. Babysitting over school breaks would be a great way to earn some extra spending money!

$10 Members; $20 Non-Members

 

 

Program Refund Policy

  • Refunds will be issued if notice is given within three **business days prior to the start date of the program. Once the program has started there will be no refunds issued.
  • If there is a medical reason given for the member not attending the program, a refund will be issued if documentation is provided (i.e. physician’s note). 
  • There is a $10 processing fee for refunds that are issued in the form of a check. If a program is cancelled by the YMCA the $10 processing fee will be waived.
  • Processing refunds will take approximately 14 business days.
  • The YMCA reserves the right to cancel a program that does not have the minimum enrollment. Programs cancelled by the YMCA will be refunded in full by check or as a program credit, based upon member’s preference. 
  • All refund requests must be made through the director of the program. Please contact the appropriate program director to request the refund. If the program director is unavailable please complete a Refund Request Form at the front desk. .

 

* Refunds may be requested as an account credit to be used towards any future YMCA      program, or as a check (a $10 processing fee will be deducted from amount.)
