M & T Bank Family Prime Time Center The Family Prime Time Center is a family membership benefit where parents can use the facility and bring their children. The Center offers age appropriate rooms and activities with well-trained staff members. Family Members can use the Prime Time Center for two hours for children ages 6 weeks -7 years of age with the understanding that parents must stay inside the YMCA. Children 8-11 years of age can use the Center at their leisure. Please refer to the Parent Handbook for more detailed guidelines.

Family PowerZone The Family PowerZone allows families with children ages 7 and under to enjoy the zone together. Children ages 8-11 years of age are welcome to participate in activities independently during PowerZone hours.

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is comprised of parents who want to make a difference in the lives of all children at the YMCA. PAC discusses safety issues, programming, and new ideas that affect the children who use our facility. If you are interested in being a part of PAC, please contact the Family Director.

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT (Ages 6 weeks – 11 years) Saturdays 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. April 26 – Silly Circus May 17 – Tropical Paradise June 7 – Bug Bonanza
Parents’ Night Out is an opportunity for parents to have a night out - kids free! Bring back date night, ladies’ night out, guys’ night out, movie night, and so many other fun activities. While the parents are out, the kids will play! Children will be separated by ages (6 weeks – 3 years old will be in Prime Time and 4-11 years old will be in the SACC room). Please see the descriptions below for age appropriate activities that we will provide for each group.
6 WEEKS - 3 YEARS The little ones will enjoy activities in the Prime Time Center and gym. We will have songs, games, crafts, and movies, as well as free play in the gym for the toddlers. We will provide a light snack. This age group will not be swimming. Children should come prepared with sneakers, play clothes, diaper bag, and extra clothes.
4 YEARS – 11 YEARS This age will do a craft, play in the gym, use the pool, and watch a movie. We will provide a light snack. Children should come prepared with swimsuit/towel, sneakers, and play clothes. Children who wish to participate in swimming should come with their bathing suit under their clothes and a change of dry clothes.

MINI-ME MASSAGE (AGES 6 WEEKS – 8 MONTHS) PARENT/CHILD Thursdays 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring I, Spring II Goo…Goo…Ga…Ga! Want a better way to communicate with your baby? Come learn the communication that lasts a lifetime! Learn how to stimulate growth and development of your baby, while reducing your own stress level. Reduce gas, colic, constipation and improve your baby’s immune system. Help your baby sleep deeper and longer, while building a stronger bond between the two of you that will last a lifetime! Parents should bring a pillow and blanket and come dressed in comfy clothes. $48 Members/per child
READY, SET, GROW (AGES 1-3) PARENT/CHILD Mondays 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring I, Spring II Mom and Dad, look who’s getting so big! This program will help your child with separation anxiety and be the first step to help your little one get ready to take a class on his or her own. This program will challenge you and your child to work together during parachute games, circle time and free play. Get involved in this crucial time of your child’s life. $25 Members/per child
ALPHABETIVITIES (AGES 2-4) Fridays 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring II Learn your ABCs the fun way through songs, games and lots of laughs. The crafts and projects we do together will revolve around the different letters we learn each week. Each child will make an A-Z book of his or her very own. This class is perfect for the child who is ready to learn, but not quite ready for long hours of a preschool program. $25 Members/per child
KIDS CRAFT & GYM (AGES 2-6) Mondays & Wednesdays 10:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring I, Spring II While Moms and Dads are taking a class, kids can have a class of their own. This class is designed so kids will have their own special class to take while parents take aerobics classes. Each class will feature new crafts and time to play in the gym. Kids will participate in a new and exciting craft activity during every class while also having time to enjoy physical activity in the gym. Parachute games, circle time, indoor games, songs, and crafts will tap into your child’s creative side. $30 Members/per child
PARENTS’ DAY OUT (AGES 2-6) Tuesdays OR Wednesdays 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring I, Spring II What could you do with an extra three hours kids free each week? If you are a stay-at-home parent that needs a little time to yourself, then Parents’ Day Out is for you. Get some errands done, clean the house without the kids underfoot, or just relax and know your kids are having a great time! The program will operate once a week using the Family Prime Time Center and gym space for the kids to play. Children will learn songs, and make craft projects, play in the gym, and do many other fun activities. Please bring a light snack and extra clothing. $50 Members/per child
BIG WHEELS (AGES 3-6) Mondays 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Session Offered: Spring II What kind of truck is this? What does it do? How many wheels does it have? Do you hear all these questions every day? This is a perfect class for your young automotive enthusiast! Children will learn all about trucks, and even get a visit from some local “big trucks.” Of course, crafts and games will all involve wheels! $25 Members/per child
MESSY PLAY (AGES 3-6) Thursdays 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring II Different textures and consistencies can help kids get used to different sensations and get a feel for their hands and fingers. Messy play provides fun and creativity. Your little ones will enjoy getting messy with finger paints, pudding, play dough and much much more. Best of all YOU don’t have to worry about the furniture. Creativity will be encouraged and imaginations will go wild. Old clothes encouraged!! $25 Members/per child
SEUSS-TASTIC (AGES 3-6) Tuesdays, 10:00a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring I Explore the world of Dr. Seuss with the family staff as they embark on this seuss-tastic adventure celebrating Dr. Seuss through crafts, activities and stories. Each class will introduce a new character as we feature a different Dr. Seuss book to spark your child’s imagination. $25 Members/per child
SPLASH & PLAY (AGES 3-6) Fridays 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring I, Spring II Get all the wiggles out while we play in the gym, then it’s off to the pool to make a BIG splash! Gym time will include free playing and structured games. Pool time will include free swim and structured water activities. You will meet new friends or sign up with your buddies. Children must come in their swimsuit under their clothes. $25 Members/per child
SUPER SCIENTIST (AGES 3-6) Tuesdays 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Session Offered: Spring II This is a simple science awareness class for preschoolers. Children will explore different topics through hands on activities, including simple experiments and crafts. Come to our laboratory of fun where your child will have the opportunity to explore with their minds and perhaps become the next Madame Curie or Albert Einstein. $25 Members/per child
MAD SCIENTIST (AGES 5-8) Wednesdays 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. Session Offered: Winter, Spring II Do you know the reaction that will happen when you drop a Mentos candy into a soda bottle? Come explore different elements through hands on activities that open the door to the exciting world of science. We will make volcanoes and do various experiments. This program will encourage children to have fun thinking outside the box and probe the mysteries of science. $25 Members/per child
KIDS WITH CHARACTER (Ages 7-11) Saturday, April 5 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Have you ever noticed all the Red, Blue, Yellow and Green around the YMCA? Did you know those colors represent our 4 core values – Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility? Join us for some fun character education through games and activities while you learn fun facts about the YMCA! $6 Members/per child
TUTORING (Elementary and Middle School) ONGOING Does your child need some extra help? Pair up with a certified teacher who can assist your child with his or her school work. One-on-one, our certified teacher can work around you and your child’s busy schedule and give him or her needed assistance. Sessions are one hour in length and you can purchase multiple sessions.

BOOK FAIR (ALL AGES WELCOME) May 12 – May 17 Jump on the road to reading that leads straight to our book fair! Our book fair roadmap is sure to be filled with many twists and turns and as you explore our large selection of books. The Scholastic Book Fair will be set up in the lobby for members to browse or purchase books. All profits from the book fair benefit the YMCA by helping to replenish our book supply. Remember, reading to your children helps build better readers!
FAMILY FUN NIGHT (ALL AGES) Fridays 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. May 9 – Hawaiian Luau Family Fun Night is the YMCA’s way of giving back to our members by providing families with exciting activities that don’t cost them a cent! It’s a great opportunity for families to participate together in a variety of free, fun activities. Each month’s activities have a theme and include face painting, craft projects, gym games, snacks, and family pictures. FAMILY MOVIES (ALL AGES) Fridays 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. April 11 June 13 Welcome to the movies. Tonight’s feature will include a family friendly movie, spectacular snacks, and a make and take craft. Every seat’s a good seat at the YMCA theater. Bring your entire family! It’s a great time to share with other family and friends. Movies will be new releases and advertised before the program. $5 Family
LOOKS WHO’S COOKING (AGES 4 – ADULT) April 26 - 27 Tired of the same old recipes for dinner every night? Bring your family to the Make & Take Gourmet and learn to make new recipes the family is sure to love! Mingle with other YMCA families as your family creates entrees together. When families register they will chose from a variety of meals off the Make & Take Gourmet menu. Families can decide to make just one or several meals. Families will meet at the Make & Take Gourmet in Towne Center at their scheduled time and should register in advance. FATHER CHILD CAMPOUT (FATHERS AND CHILDREN 3+) Saturday, June 14 - 11:00 a.m. – Camp Out Starts Sunday, June 15 - 9:00 a.m. – Camp Out Ends Enjoy some special father and son time during Father’s Day weekend by camping together. Our overnight will he held at our Camp Iroquois location. We will barbeque, swim, play games, enjoy the climbing tower, and roast marshmallows at the evening campfire. Then, on Sunday, all our wonderful fathers can go home to enjoy their Father’s Day with their families. Families have to bring their own camping gear for the event. Bring your fishing poles and your favorite bait for some fun father-child catch and release fishing. We will provide food, beverages, and of course, all the fun you can handle. $35 per family
HEALTHY KIDS DAY (FAMILIES WELCOME) Sunday, April 6 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Healthy Kids’ Day is the community’s chance to celebrate children and promote healthy lifestyles! Children have the opportunity to take a leadership role throughout the YMCA and take ownership of their own healthy choices. Families can participate in different activities to complete their “Passport To Health.” We will have obstacle courses, healthy snacks, swimming events, face painting, magicians, fitness for kids,arts and crafts, and other fun kid’s events. Last year we had over 500 families join us for our Healthy Kid’s Day event! Don’t miss out on our largest kid’s event of the year! Free to Members! $5 for Non-Members
HOME AWAY FROM HOME SLEEPOVER STARTERS (AGES 4-7) Friday, May 2 6:30 p.m. – Drop Off Saturday, May 3 8:00 a.m. – Pick Up Spending the night at a friend’s or family’s house can be a lot of fun, but many children also get anxious or scared the first time they sleep away from home. That’s why our Sleepover Starters program is great for kids who need some practice experiencing their first time away from home. This program will allow children to enjoy the YMCA with kids their own age as they participate in games, arts and crafts, swimming, movies, and so much more! We will offer dinner and breakfast to our overnighters. Please have your child bring a sleeping bag/pillow, swimsuit/towel, pajamas, sneakers, extra clothes, and personal items. $23 for Members
PIZZA WITH A PURPOSE (ALL FAMILIES WELCOME) Thursday, May 8 11:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Help raise some dough for Partner With Youth by joining fellow YMCA families at Pizzeria Uno for a night of food, friends and fun! Pick up tickets from the Member Service Desk and present it to the wait staff at Pizzeria Uno on March 6 for lunch or dinner. A slice of all proceeds from YMCA families and friends will go to our Partner With Youth Program, ensuring everyone can be part of our Y family.
