Medical Director- Reports to Camp Director. Responsible for primary implementation of the Camp’s Medical Plan including proper authorization and distribution of medication, daily health surveillance of campers, recording injuries and illnesses accurately in the medical log, handling all medical emergencies, reporting medical emergencies, including suspicion of communicable diseases, to Health Dept. within 24 hours and reviewing all camper’s medical history prior to arrival at camp. Requirements- Must possess one of the following: Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, OR current EMT certification. One Position.
Horse Director – Responsible for the overall operation of the horseback riding program including: instruction and supervision of campers and staff at the riding corral, safety of campers and animals and care of animals and equipment. Assist in one overnight per session during the summer. Requirements – Minimum age 21. Certification and/or documented experience in horsemanship. First Aid and CPR certifications need to be obtained prior to the start of camp(opportunity provided). One position.
Assistant to Horse Director – Assist with all responsibilities associated with horse program including: instruction, safety and care of animals and equipment. Assist in one overnight per session during the summer. Requirements: Minimum age 17. Experience with animal care and horsemanship a plus.

Y- Arts Director- Reports to Camp Director. Responsible for planning, supervising, and organizing camp’s Y-Arts program. Teach skills in Fine Arts to staff and campers, expose campers and staff to various art techniques, and order all supplies need for activities. Assist in end of day sign out of campers. Assist in one overnight per session during the summer. Requirements- Minimum age 20, CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained prior to the start of camp(opportunities provided). One position.
The following additional duties are available IN ADDITION to your primary responsibility. An additional salary is paid for each:
Extended Hours Supervisor- Supervise staff and campers during extended care hours from 7:30am-9:00a.m. and 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.. Organize activities and program schedule. Responsible for overall safety of campers, including proper sign out procedures.
Extended Hours Counselor – Supervise campers before camp (7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m) or after camp
(4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.). Responsible for safety of participants and ensuring all campers are signed in or out by appropriate individuals.
Bus Counselor – Manage bus route to and from camp in cooperation with bus drivers. Maintain health and safety of campers and staff on bus. Must get on and off bus at first stop (see bus routes). Must ID parents and check for proper authorizations when releasing child at the end of the day. Four positions. Bus routes: Metro-downtown YMCA, North-North Area YMCA, East-Nottingham HS, Southwest-West Genesse HS
